Description:
Parish of Bathwick with Bathwick Street to Cleveland Bridge crossing the River Avon. The Old St Mary's Parish Church is still in place (before St John's Church was built), opposite Rochfort Place. Scattered housing across Villa Fields amongst the gardens, including Bathwick Villa, before the area was redeveloped by Colonel Forrester. One of a series of large scale city maps created to help with planning water and sewerage at the time of the Bath City Act 1851 and extension of the city boundaries. Surveyed by order of the Town Council of the City of Bath in the years 1852-1853 by Cotterell & Spackman
