Description: This consists of a dome 40 feet span and 50 feet high and is approached by broad and loft Avenues, leading from the High Street and Orange Grove. The original scheme embraces the construction of an entrance to the market from Bridge Street, on the site of the shop occupied by Mr. Pawsey. The market has been constructed by Mr. Randal Stap, contractor of London, from the designs of Messrs. Hickes and Isaac, architects, Bath, during the mayoralty of Thos. Barter Esq.
