Description: Conducted by Mr. Luckman and Assistants. At this long-established School, Youth receive a sound, useful and religious Education. The dietary and general comfort of the Pupils are attended to on a scale of liberality which is not exceeded in any Establishment. The situation of the Premises is convenient and most salubrious; its proximity to the Great Western Railway renders this Establishment as eligible as any in the Kingdom.
Devonshire House stood on the corner of Wells Road (now Wellsway) and Greenway Lane. It seems to have been demolished in about 1879 and replaced by a grocer's shop, which has now been converted into bed and breakfast accommodation.
