Description: "The Hospital in the City, appropriated solely to Bath cases and open to the Poor and Afflicted of every part of the world (Bath only excepted), Being destitute of a Fund, In any Degree adequate, its Support, Is most earnestly recommended, to the Patronage and Protection, Of the Humane and liberal Part, of Mankind". A poetical ode follows and an image of the General Hospital building (later the Royal Mineral Water Hospital) at the top. Inscribed on reverse: To ? Glynn, with the Authors most sincere compliments. Crescent, Bath, 10th December 1785.
