Description: Winston resided at the Leigh Park crossroads, on the Bath road, Bradford-on-Avon and was quite famous locally. Local nurses at what was then the Hospital opposite this dog house ... and some townspeople made a collection to build him a shelter and to keep him healthy and well-fed. His original owner was killed at the crossroads ... in a road traffic accident … and Winston refused to leave this spot.
