Description: From 'A Memoir on proposals for the enlargement of the Holburne Museum and for its integration with the University of Bath'. There were plans to develop the museum with a Crafts Study Centre involving a large extension to the rear. The intentions were 'favourably regarded by Bath City Council'. The aim was to house under one roof, a living museum of arts and artefacts of the past and present, where they may be enjoyed by the general public and studied in depth by student and research worker, as well as providing accommodation for temporary exhibitions as well as a Concert Hall.
Photographed in February 1973.
