Description: It is late October 1967 and the autumn tints are beginning to show in the trackside foliage as the line enters the southern portal of the mile long Combe Down tunnel. Track recovery was to reach here by the turn of the year. From a private collection of slides of the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway, taken in the year following closure of the line in 1966.
