Description: A number of Bath Guides were produced during the city's Georgian heyday and most contain a fold out map at the beginning of the book. This map shows the newly constructed Kennet and Avon Canal that cuts through Sydney Gardens. In common with other maps of this date, it also outlines the development of Pulteney Estate including Frances Square, which would never be built.
