Description: Consecration of St. John the Evangelist Church was conducted in strict obedience to Catholic doctrine. The Rt. Rev. Bishop Clifford was assisted by the Rt. Rev. Bishop Ullathorne of Birmingham, the Rt. Rev. Vaughan of Plymouth and the Rt. Rev. Bishop Maurice of Troy. It includes a detailed description of the building, excluding the spire that is yet to be built, a description of the opening service for the public, a description of dinner held in Assembly Rooms and a description of evening service.
