Description: The fire was at Mr. Butcher's soap and candle factory at 4, Sawclose on Saturday 5th September 1846. Looking south with John Lawrence, pawnbroker at 8, New Westgate Buildings on the right. Waggons are sitting outside William Lawes & Co. at 3, Sawclose on the left and to its right are the premises of George Williams, a vetinarary surgeon.
