Description: Note by the map: This plan is taken out of Johnson's "Thermae Bathonica". It is the most ancient in existence but is taken from that which is attributed by Wood in his Essay on Bath to Jones and which is dated 1572. The Thermae Bathonica is most often bound with Johnson's "Mercurius Botanicus", published in 1634 with the map inserted.
