Description: Detail from a fabulous early view of the village before the expansion of Monkton school and the conversion of St. Michael's Court into flats. There is a good view of the Somersetshire Coal Canal in the bottom left-hand corner which is shown in detail in Image Ref. 55167.
Thought to be by George Love Dafnis, shortly before he started commercially producing postcards of similar views.
