Description: Unless the title is an error, this must be a view of the back of the Crescent. The tower of the Abbey looming over the houses must have been a mirage. Another possibility is that the view is reversed, with a section of the back of the Crescent on the left, houses in Upper Church Street in the centre and the tower belonging to Christ Church, Montpelier Row. All Cole's views are unreliable in their topographical detail. Advertised in the New Times 19th March 1827. They sold for 6s each coloured.
London. Pub. by Willm. Cole, 10, Newgate Street.
