Description: An article on 6th November also said that fountains were planned not only for the Royal Crescent, but also for St. James's Square, Royal Victoria Park, the Circus, Queen Square and Laura Place. The Bath Herald, 3rd May 1851, reveals that the plans were abandoned due to 'general indifference manifested by the public and the luke-warmness of the majority of the committee'.
Newspaper cutting from the Bath and Cheltenham Gazette, 5th June 1850. See Image Ref. 12224.
