Description: The winning design for a new fountain to be installed in the centre of Laura Place on a plinth that was part of an unbuilt column that had been planned after the Battle of Trafalgar. It was raised to commemorate the centenary of the Bath and Western Counties Agricultural Society. The bowl of this fountain is still in place, although the fountain has been replaced. The Bath Herald announced the 'soon to be published' lithograph for this new fountain.
Drawn by Frederick English Junr. See Image Ref. 41374.
