Description: Detail of the Somersetshire Coal Canal, from Dundas Aqueduct to Dunkerton and Wellow. Includes Monkton Combe, Southstoke, Limpley Stoke, Westwood, Combe Hay and Midford.
Entitled the "Plan of the proposed Navigable Canal between the River Kennet at Newbury, in the County of Berks: and the River Avon at Bath, in the County of Somerset: whereby a navigable Communication will be opened between the Cities of London and Bristol ... to which is added a Plan of the proposed Somersetshire Coal Canal". Surveyed 1793 by John Rennie, Civil Engineer, completed 1810. Engraved by W. Faden, Geogr. to His Majesty & to His R.H. the Prince of Wales.
