Description: The track in the foreground was put down on the towpath next to the Somersetshire Coal Canal to bring materials to the embankment being constructed in the background. Looking towards Midford from Monkton Combe, where the railway was to cross the Cam Brook at Tucking Mill Bridge and where the canal bends around the hillside towards Tucking Mill. On the right, next to the small tipper truck can be seen where the railway has cut into the towpath, with a not very recognisable dry, reeded-up section of canal. From a set of 11 unique photographs, recording the construction of the Camerton to Limpley Stoke Railway. This mostly followed the route of the abandoned Somersetshire Coal Canal. Built by men assisted by a 'Steam Navvy'.
