Description: Lower Bristol Road, looking east from the bottom of Brougham Hayes. The building on the right was once the barracks of the Second Somerset Militia and home of the Bath Rifle Volunteers, this was later the HQ of the 1st Volunteer Battalion of the (Prince Albert's) Somerset Light Infantry. It has now been demolished and has been replaced by a Holiday Inn Express Hotel.
