Description: A proposed auxiliary college to the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, to expand teaching of youth for the Church. It was to have been built near the present University of Bath on Claverton Down. An advertisement was placed in the Bath Chronicle on 25th July 1839 for a tinted print of the college, after a drawing by Mr. Wilson. Judging by the fact that copies of this view appeared in newspapers and periodicals, it would appear that this design won approval over that of G.P. Manners (See IOB 1012).
