Description: Held at the Assembly Rooms on 10th November 1851, Charles Dickens and his companions performed this play by Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton, followed by his own farce Mr. Nightingale's Diary, in which he took six different parts. A report said that he is as brilliant at acting as he is in authorship. A full report appears in the Bath Chronicle on 15th November 1851.
