Description: Looking north across the Old Bridge as a coach is crossing to the south. Houses no longer crowd the southern approaches. The Full Moon remains and there is only one footpath on the east side, both of which had been intended to be upgraded a few years earlier. From "Bath and Bristol, with the Counties of Somerset and Gloucester" by Thos. H. Shepherd and John Britton Esq. F.S.A., 1829.
