Description: Looking north over the bridge showing proposed improvements to the bridge and surrounding buildings in comparison to Image Ref. 41620. The stone parapets are replaced with railings and footpaths on both sides of the widened bridge. The Full Moon Inn is demolished and replaced with a long terrace facing the river along a new road. All the buildings on the south side of the river are removed. A note in the Boodle Collection: By Jefford the celebrated engineer, about the year 1823 - amid construction of a boulevard along the banks of the river commencing where the Full Moon stands and terminating at the South Parade.
