Description: Looking east with the Red Lion pub at No. 27. To the right of the pub was Cross Lane, which has been buried under the collapsed buildings. Nos. 28 to 33 have been completely destroyed and the adjoining three properties were later demolished. One of a stick of bombs that fell in Kingsmead Street early in the first raid.
