Description: Hosted by Ted Leather, Princess Margaret visited La Serenissima, an eighteenth century Venetian evening held in Parade Gardens as part of the Bath Festival. The guests wore black masks, tricorn hats and gaily coloured cloaks. The guests' supper baskets contained strawberries and cream, smoked salmon and asparagus rolls. The rose wine was specially imported from the shore of Lake Garda near Venice.
