Description: A postman poses on the bridge. The Somersetshire Coal Canal had ceased to operate and was shortly about to be drained and the route used for the Camerton to Limpley Stoke Railway. This is the first of the minor road bridges over the Somersetshire Coal Canal, leading to the mill. The entrance to the station, featured in the film Titfield Thunderbolt occupied this area until its removal. Copied from the photographer's original glass negative. See Image Ref. 14112 for the postcard print.
