Description: Just visible in the bottom left is part of the shoring in the aftermath of the Hedgemead Landslip of 1881. There are many more memorials in the graveyard than today.
From a fabulous album of photographs titled Old Views of Bath and District, H.G. Brampton. The album comprises 56 medium to large photographs of Bath from around the 1890s, each one pasted onto board as was the fashion at the time. Each print was probably obtained commercially as several have appeared elsewhere. Photographed by John Poole of East Twerton (No. 115) and was sold by Williams & Son, booksellers, 5, Union Street, Bath.
