Description: An early view of the Somersetshire Coal Canal. The cast iron footbridge in the background carried pupils from Monkton Combe school over the canal to their playing fields. It may have been taken at almost the same spot as Image Ref 22359 but with the photographer having turned his camera around 180 degrees.
