Description: An early view of the Somersetshire Coal Canal. This is the stretch beyond the Limpley Stoke viaduct in Monkton Combe. the section of canal looking east of the footbridge at Monkton Combe. It may have been taken at almost the same spot as Image Ref 22356 but with the photographer having turned his camera around 180 degrees. The road leading up Brassknocker Hill can be seen the the left.
