Description: The serious accident occurred when a Bath to Bournemouth excursion collided head-on with a Wimborne to Bath relief train on the then single line of the new Bath extension. Twelve passengers were tragically killed.
From a private collection of photographs from approximately the 1950s relating to the canals and railways in Bath and the surrounding area. Attributed to Ken Marchant of Radstock.
