Description: This amazing photograph shows the view from what is now Corston View recreation field and takes in much of southwestern Bath. The road across the middle foreground (stubby trees) is Englishcombe Lane. The terraced houses of Sladebrook Ave and Coronation Ave run from the left across the view. The huge open pits for the brickworks (at what is now the Brickfields) are visible above the houses of Coronation Avenue, as are houses and the Rising Sun pub in the Lymore Ave area. Across the very middle is Newbridge Road, ending with the spire of Locksbrook Cemetery.
