Description: P.S. Empress and P.S. Alexandra dominate the scene. P.S. Empress operated out of Bournemouth and Weymouth, sailing to Swanage and the Isle of Wight. Her engines survive in the Maritime Museum at Southampton. P.S. Alexandra was built in 1879 and operated out of Weymouth from 1918-1925.
