Description: Line of the Fosse Way near the Prince of Wales on the present road which is to the right and drops straight down the hill into Dunkerton, re-joining the existing road at the bottom of the hill where it turns in front of the old Swan Inn. This illustration shows very well what an early road or track would have been like to travel on.
From a private collection of photographs from approximately the 1950s relating to the Turnpikes in Bath and the surrounding area. Attributed to Ken Marchant of Radstock.
