Description: Looking west from the entrance to Devonshire tunnel in late 1967, the long straight stretch down the 1 in 50 grade to Bath Junction can be seen. This has now been converted into a linear park and the deep cutting in the foreground has been infilled along with much back filling to seal the tunnel mouth. From a private collection of slides of the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway, taken in the year following closure of the line in 1966.
