Description: Literally the end of the line as track recovery makes its inexorable way north of Midford goods yard, leaving just the sleepers and chairs to be reclaimed on this section. The cant and curvature of the alignment are typical of this stretch of the Bath extension, only single track being affordable between Midford and Bath Junction due to the difficult nature of the terrain. From a private collection of slides of the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway, taken in the year following closure of the line in 1966.
Photographed in October 1967.
