Description: The photographer was posted to various military camps in his service with the Post Office. This photograph appears to show the Army Cyclist Corps on exercise. The A.C.C. units were set up in 1908 and mainly saw service defending Britain's South Coast or behind active lines in France in World War One (bicycles were ineffective in front line action) before being disbanded in 1919.
Photographed by George Love Dafnis of Bath. Copied from the photographer's original negative. Photographed before he started producing postcards.
