Description: The Masquerade Ball hosted by King Christian VII of Denmark and Norway on Monday 10th October 1768 at the Opera House in the Haymarket. Fanny Murray went as 'Night' and she is the central figure dressed in black. Her costume was of 'thin black Silk, studded with stars and fastened to the Head by a Moon'.
