The Viaduct Hotel, Monkton Combe, at the foot of Brassknocker Hill c.1904?

The Viaduct Hotel, Monkton Combe, at the foot of Brassknocker Hill c.1904?

Image Reference: 22330
Artist/Photographer: Dafnis, George Love
Image Date: 1904
Measurements: 12 x 16.7 cm
Medium: lantern slide
Collection: Dafnis
Library Reference: Private Box 34
Credit: Peter Dafnis
Library: Private Collection

Description: A date is faintly inked onto the front of the slide. The road from Limpley Stoke appears very rough. Note how the gable end of the Viaduct Hotel and brewery shows how it has been built up from an earlier, probably thatched steeper roof pitch. Copied from the photographer's original glass negative
