Description: Nick Bell-Knight, a furniture and paintings conservator from Freshford near Bath, was a key member of the team who set up the American Museum in Britain. It fell to Nick to 'fit' the historic American interiors into the Neo-Classical rooms of Claverton Manor. The testament to Nick's skill is surely that the Period Rooms at the Museum have not been altered.
Photographed on 27th April 1970.
