Description: With the photographer captured in shadow! This carried the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway over the canalised River Brue and was the original main line of the Central Somerset Railway, laid along the bank of the disused Highbridge to Glastonbury Canal. It was a Broad Gauge line in association with the Bristol and Exeter Railway.
From a private collection of photographs from approximately the 1950s relating to the canals and railways in Bath and the surrounding area. Attributed to Ken Marchant of Radstock.
