Description: James Pond was born in Wincanton and lived in Bath from about 1836. He was a letter carrier. He lived at East View, Fox Lane, Holloway, Lyncombe from c.1865 to his death. He bred pedigree fowls and won prizes for his Cochins at agricultural shows.
