Description: An early photograph of a familiar site before the concert room and pump room extension was built in 1895-1897 following the discovery of the Roman Great Bath. Note the Civet Cat - outdoor games, English and foreign toys and the Grand Pump Room Library and reading room. The bible society occupied the building nearest the Abbey.
