Description: With a chimney just visible in the background behind the three storey house on the left. The long line of low cottages must be Waterloo Road, the three storey building is the Waldegrave Arms (now boringly called the Radstock Hotel) at the bottom of the long hill from Dunkerton/Peasedown. It did used to have chimneys at both ends but they have gone. I believe the colliery chimney behind survived until the 1970s. The photographer must have been standing on the A362 Frome Road with Wellow Brook in the foreground. But the view is pre-1880 - seemingly before the railway and the Bell Hotel arrived.
