Description: An eminent political and excellent man who died in Bath. He was the son of Daniel Malthus Esq. of Albury, Berks and was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge. His works on political economy and especially on the principles of population have furnished food for much controversy. From "The Dictionary of Political Economics", 1853.
