Description: Proposals for building what became Cleveland Bridge on a plan agreeable to Lord Darlington who will grant the land for the bridge abutments and construct approach roads on either side. Tolls can be raised and vehicles may be excluded. No bridge or ferry to be permitted between Pulteney Bridge and Bathampton. Shares of £100 each to raise £10,000 are to be offered first to proprietors and occupiers of houses in Bathwick.
