Description: The spire cost £15,000 and the material is Bath stone. The spire is 222 feet, surpassing that of St. Michael's Church, which had been tallest (St. Andrew's Church spire, completed a few years later, was 220 feet and commonly thought to be the tallest spire in Bath). Mr. C.F. Hansom of Clifton was the architect.
