Description: Surveyors, surveyed the damage and took down the houses over the fractured pier with no accident. Lady Bath ordered the bridge to be repaired, with a new engineer en route. It is a safe route for foot and carriage passengers whilst the works are proceeding. The damage was to the west pier of the bridge.
