Description: Watercolour sketch from the southeast of old St. Mary's Church, Bathwick in a very run down state before it was demolished in 1818, when the present St. Mary's Church was built at the foot of Bathwick Hill. Stone from this church re-used to build the mortuary chapel in the cemetery. The church of St. John the Baptist on the neighbouring site, was built in 1861-1862, extended in 1869-1871.
