Description: A subscription was raised to erect a column to commemorate the Reform Bill passing and the foundation was laid within the grassed area. The inhabitants objected and whole thing was pulled down, including removal of the grass and railings.
Transcription from a newspaper article (probably the Bath Herald, 1811).
