Description: He died at home in Claverton Lodge, Bathwick Hill. He was the eldest son of a Bath coachmaker, he ran his own school, was minister of St. Mary Magdalen's Chapel, Chaplain of the General Hospital and an early member of the Bath Literary Club. He was also uncle to diarist R. Francis Kilvert, who attended his school.
