Description: This image was mis-identified by Hunt as part of Prior Park, possibly St. Mary's Chapel and included in the section with that building. The building was severely damaged during the Siege of Delhi, June-September 1857. Following the rising of the Bengal Regiments, the rebelling sepoys occupied Delhi in May 1857 and the British army, unable to retake the city by direct attack, besieged it. A major bombardment in early September was followed by an assault and retaking of the city on 21st September. Many buildings were destroyed or damaged during the bombardment, including the bank.
